How to be a Faithful Preacher in Rockstar World

When they saw the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were uneducated, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. -Acts 4:13

It's hard not to compare yourself to others. It's all too easy to stack yourself up against the renowned communicators of today. It can be difficult when your flock seems more apt to follow the pastors they listen to online versus those in their church.

We continually need to be reminded that the Bible calls us to be men who are faithful, not famous. For many of us, we'll wake up, brush our teeth, go to work, live by the gospel and serve those around us, come home, love our families, and then put our heads back on the pillow. Very few will even remember our names. But we continually serve and love, day-by-day, not for our name's sake, but for our Lord's. That's what this conference is about: How to be a faithful preacher in a rockstar world. So, this conference is not built around personalities, but around faithful men who serve the gospel in the trenches day-in and day-out.

In similar fashion, a majority of the learning and discussion won't revolve around a few select individuals. We will all learn from each other. We really value the time spent around a table, having drinks and talking about life and ministry with other like-minded individuals. So, this "Non-Conference" Conference is built more around conversation than lectures.
